Young people continue to demonstrate the power of creativity, storytelling, and self-expression through photography. On Sunday, 10th May, students who have spent the last two months undertaking photography training proudly showcased their work during a special Arts Exhibition organised to celebrate their learning journey and achievements.

The exhibition highlighted the dedication, growth, and creativity of the students who participated in the photography programme under the guidance and mentorship of Jimmy. Over the course of the training, participants learned key photography skills including camera handling, composition, lighting, visual storytelling, editing techniques, and confidence in creative expression.

The event brought together community members, supporters, families, and fellow young creatives who had the opportunity to experience the students’ inspiring work firsthand. The displayed photographs captured a wide range of themes including community life, culture, identity, nature, youth empowerment, and everyday moments that often go unnoticed.

Beyond showcasing talent, the exhibition also demonstrated how photography can become a powerful tool for communication, creativity, and social impact. Many of the young participants shared how the training helped them build confidence, develop practical skills, and discover new career interests within the creative industry.

The photography programme forms part of ongoing efforts to provide young people with accessible creative opportunities, practical learning experiences, and platforms to showcase their talents. Through mentorship and hands-on training, participants were encouraged to use photography as a way to tell stories that matter to them and their communities.

The exhibition was not only a celebration of artistic achievement but also a reminder of the importance of investing in youth development, creativity, and community engagement.

We congratulate all the students for their incredible work and commitment throughout the training programme and thank Jimmy for his dedication in supporting and mentoring the young photographers.
