This Drugs and Alcohol training course gives learners an awareness of how drugs and alcohol affect a person’s life both personally and professionally. It will help your staff know the signs of drug and alcohol abuse, as well as the appropriate steps that should be taken to deal with it.
According to the NHS, in 2018 there were 1.3 million alcohol-induced hospital admissions in the UK, an 8% rise on the previous year. Meanwhile, drug-related mental and behavioural disorders caused 7,376 hospital admissions, with 18,053 people admitted for poisoning by drug misuse.
On completion of this Drug and Alcohol Abuse Awareness course, your staff will learn the effects of alcohol abuse, be able to identify different types of drugs and the effects of drug abuse, the impact drug and alcohol abuse would have on a minor and the steps the government will take to help minors abusing drugs and alcohol.
